The Home Depot Canada stores in the Maritimes donate $125,000 as immediate Hurricane Fiona relief support

TORONTO, ON (Oct. 4, 2022) – The Home Depot Canada announced today that each of their 9 stores in the Maritimes will be collectively donating $125,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, as immediate relief support against Hurricane Fiona. Each store will donate over $13,000 to show their support to the local communities.

“The Home Depot Canada is a proud member of the community, and we thank our associates as they continue to serve and support their local communities,” said Sebastiaan Brand, District Manager, Atlantic Canada at The Home Depot Canada. “Our priority during this time is the safety of our customers and our associates, while we support them during this unprecedented time.

The Home Depot Canada has served the Martimes community for over 20 years with 9 stores and over 1,200 associates. Our donation reaching $125,000 to the Canadian Red Cross will help support extend their efforts to provide relief to the local communities. The Home Depot Canada’s Community Investment team helps communities affected by emergencies and disasters. We work in partnership with established disaster relief organizations to support their response activities. Our primary focus is to support the communities in which we operate and where our associates live and work.

The Canadian Red Cross is working to get help to people in and around affected areas as quickly as possible and provide humanitarian assistance for new needs as they arise. Those wanting to support relief efforts are encouraged to donate to the Canadian Red Cross online at www.redcross.ca, by calling 1-800-418-1111. The Government of Canada is matching donations Canadians and corporations make to the Red Cross Hurricane Fiona in Canada Appeal over the next 19 days.
