*Prices and charges exclude applicable taxes and are current as of July 23rd, 2020, and subject to change. Rental charge information based on Ontario market rates and subject to change. Estimated rental charges may vary from $28 to $35 for a gas Power Vent model, $40 to $49 for a condensing gas tankless model. Power Vent 50 Gallon (1000792787) ($929) + Home Depot estimated installation fees (approx. $585) = $1514.00 (excluding tax). 10 year Ontario average market rental rate at time of production (approx. $3360, based on $28.00/month) - $1514.00 = $1846.00 approx. savings. The Perfect Hot Water Heater for You

Water heaters are responsible for heating your water and supplying it to household fixtures and appliances, such as dishwashers, showers, and more. Every home uses their hot water supply differently, and it’s important to understand the different types of water heaters and features best suited for your household needs. The cost of installing a water heater varies by the type of heater as well as the size of your home and usage needs. Tank water heaters store water and heat it on demand, while tankless water heaters heat the water using coils, without storing it. Tank water heaters are generally less expensive and can accommodate high-demand households, while tankless are more expensive up front, but can reduce your energy usage by around 30 per cent.

Having your water heater installed by a professional is the recommended as they can involve natural gas, carbon monoxide and pressurized tanks, all of which can be dangerous if you’re unsure of how to properly complete the installation. Our installation professionals are trained in water heater installation, licensed and can get the job done safely and efficiently. They’ll even remove your old unit and replace it with your new one.

Whatever your water heating needs, The Home Depot Canada has everything you need to get the job done right.
