Step 1 Gather Materials
Gather your materials.
Simple and modern, this DIY Concrete Plant Stand is the perfect showcase for your plants. Concrete, wooden dowels, water and a bucket are all you need to make this modern DIY Concrete Plant Stand.
There are 12 steps to completing this project:
Gather your materials.
Mark three 19-inch sections on your dowels and cut using a mitre saw.
Using a tape measure, mark a 3.5-inch line inside your bucket.
Pour concrete mixture into your bucket up until the marked line.
Slowly pour clean water into the concrete and mix thoroughly until it is the consistency of cookie dough. Be sure not to overwater as this will compromise the strength of the concrete.
After mixing, tap your bucket several times to ensure it is level and you’ve removed any air bubbles.
One at a time, place your dowels in the middle of your bucket and set on the sides.
To keep the dowels in place during the curing process, use masking tape to secure to the sides.
Once your dowels are evenly in place, let dry at least 24 hours.
Gently work the sides of the bucket until you can remove the stools.
To finish off your stool, sand smooth.
Place your favourite plant on top and enjoy!
