Step 2 Mark Tree Outline
Mark an outline of your tree on the plywood.

Step 3 Cut
Cut out your tree design, using a circular saw for larger cuts and a jigsaw for smaller ones.

Step 4 Paint
Paint or stain your tree. Let dry completely before proceeding.

Step 5 Attach Post
Attach your post, allowing for about 10 inches to extend below the tree.

Step 6 Attach Lights
Attach lights by wrapping tightly around the tree and affixing with a heavy-duty stapler (Be careful not to staple light cords).
