With an insulated basement subfloor, you’re adding panels to stop that conduction by creating a layer between the concrete and your floors. This not only stops the cold but helps stop moisture from building up, which could produce mould and lead to costly repairs.
How Do I Use These Subfloor Panels?
Most insulated subfloor panels are built with a tongue and groove edge, allowing them to fit together like most floorboards. They’re square in shape allowing your subfloor insulation to cover the entire floor. Your normal floors, tiles or carpet should be installed on top.

DRIcore Subfloor R+
Utilizing the same air gap technology, the R+ subfloor takes insulation a step further with an R-Value of 3, which can raise the temperature of finished flooring by up to 5.6° C / 10.6° F. DRIcore R+ combines high density Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) which helps resist moisture and maintain its R-Value consistently.
