Following the instructions included in your blinds kit, measure in from each side of the of the top window frame and mark the holes using your brackets.
Installing blinds in your home is a great way to block unwanted sunlight from coming through your windows and can also help keep your furniture from being discoloured by UV rays. It’s a simple DIY process and we’ll show you everything you need to know in this handy guide. As a reminder, always be sure to read the instructions before installing.
There are 4 steps to completing this project:
Following the instructions included in your blinds kit, measure in from each side of the of the top window frame and mark the holes using your brackets.
Using a drill bit that is slightly smaller than your screws, drill pilot holes into the top of the window frame on your marks. Once you’ve drilled the holes, place your brackets on the frame and screw them into place. The number of brackets will depend on the width of your blinds.
With your brackets in place, simply attach your headrail by hooking it into the front of your brackets and rotating it until you hear it click into place.
Lower and test your new shade, making sure it goes all the way up and down. Once you’ve tested it, your window blinds are now installed! Enjoy!
