More Than Just a Hat
Net proceeds of each hat sold will support The Home Depot Canada Foundation's TradeWorx initiative. TradeWorx helps provide youth with the education and skills they need to get a job in the trades.
Because of you, we raised over $1.3M for 125 youth focused charities across the country. Funds will be used to enable youth at risk of or facing homeless achieve positive development outcomes and realize their full potential.
Youth who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness face barriers to securing employment, which results in a lack of stable income to attain and maintain affordable housing.
The Home Depot Canada Foundation’s TradeWorx is an investment in organizations across Canada, empowering 500 youths with the skills and certifications needed to help them secure a living wage and attain permanent housing.
TradeWorx’s funding commitment will help provide education and employment opportunities to young people overcoming homelessness. We’ll help empower and support them with the tools, training and social support needed to find a stable, well-paying career so they can begin to find a home of their own.
The Foundation partners with Canadian organizations to support their renovation projects and programs that prevent and put an end to youth homelessness. In 2023, we granted $3.8 Million to support our 18 Strategic Partners.
Giving back to our communities is a value that The Home Depot is founded on, and one that’s important to all of our associates, as it allows them to establish strong, local relationships with our communities.
Team Depot is The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force. Our associates donate their time and talents to improving the wellbeing of local communities in the areas that we operate, partnering with the organizations The Home Depot works with, to contribute to preventing and ending youth homelessness in Canada.
