Pro Xtra is a free loyalty program that offers a variety of benefits to its Pro Members in appreciation of their commercial business at The Home Depot Canada. All Members receive Purchase Tracking, and the ability to earn Quarterly Rewards on qualifying purchases, including extra Rewards on Qualifying Paint Purchase. Members can also earn business leads through Local Pro. Plus, Members that get, link and shop with The Home Depot Commercial Card enjoy 365 day in-store returns and, beginning February 1, 2020, will earn an extra 1% back in Quarterly Rewards. See below for further details.

The Program is open to registered businesses in Canada. The Program is not open to individuals transacting for personal or household purposes.

Qualifying Purchases do not include Qualifying Paint Purchases, which are purchases of select in-Stock and special order paints, stains or primers from BEHR®, KILZ®, CIL® , ZINSSER® and GLIDDEN® totalling $2,000 or more over 12 months, made by a Member (or Authorized Buyer as applicable) at The Home Depot retail stores in Canada and on homedepot.ca excluding taxes, prior purchases, cash advances, interest fees, delivery charges, warranties, protection agreements, billing, fees and payments, purchases of gift cards, or purchases made at affiliates of The Home Depot.

Your Pro Xtra ID is your business phone number that’s tied to your Pro Xtra Online Account. It can also be your The Home Depot Commercial Card if it’s linked to your Pro Xtra Online Account. Your Pro Xtra ID uniquely identifies you at checkout to make sure you get rewarded for every Qualifying Purchase and Qualifying Paint Purchase you make at The Home Depot. That’s why it’s so important that you use it every time you shop.
Your Pro Xtra ID also tracks the purchases you make at The Home Depot. We provide this information to you through our online Purchase Tracking benefit.
Here are three easy ways to use your Pro Xtra ID at checkout:
- Key in your business phone number during in-store checkout;
- Scan your digital Pro Xtra ID from your mobile device; or
- Link The Home Depot Commercial Card to your Pro Xtra Account and when you shop using The Home Depot Commercial Card, it also acts as your Pro Xtra ID.
If you forget to use your Pro Xtra ID in-store, simply use the “Add Receipt” function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current quarter.

No problem. Log in to your Pro Xtra Online Account and use the “Add a Receipt” function. It’s quick, easy and allows you to get credit for all of your Qualifying Purchases. To make sure your purchase counts towards your Quarterly Reward, be sure to add your receipts before the end of the current quarter.
If you add your receipt after the quarter, but within 12 months, the transaction will count towards calculating your Quarterly Rewards Level.
If you add your receipt after 12-months, your purchase will be included in your Purchase Tracking history but will not count towards your Quarterly Reward.

Yes. When you change the business phone number associated with your Pro Xtra Account, your Pro Xtra ID will change. Log into your Pro Xtra Online Account and edit your account on the Preferences Tab. If you have employees that are using your Pro Xtra ID, you will also need to update them with your new Pro Xtra ID.

No. When you sign up for a new Pro Xtra Account, your business phone number becomes your Pro Xtra ID. As a result, you need to have a unique business phone number for each Pro Xtra Account that you have.

There are three ways your employees can help you earn towards the Quarterly Reward. They can:
- Key in your business phone number during in-store checkout
- Scan your digital Pro Xtra ID from their mobile device
- Pay using The Home Depot Commercial Card that is linked to your Pro Xtra Online Account
Or, if they forget to use your Pro Xtra ID in-store, they will need to send you their receipt. Then you can use the “Add a Receipt” function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current Quarter to earn towards the Quarterly Reward.

Local Pro helps pros develop their businesses by connecting them with local Home Depot customers. With effective job management tools and a convenient mobile app, Local Pro makes it easier than ever to respond quickly to job requests made by customers, so you can close more jobs.
As a Local Pro, you are an independent professional. What you earn is what you keep!

Local Pro is a credit-based service powered by The Home Depot. Each job request sent to you is an auto-redemption of Local Pro credits. You earn 1 Local Pro credit for every $50 you spend on “Qualifying Purchases” (before taxes) made using your Home Depot Commercial Card linked to your Pro Xtra Account or with your Pro Xtra ID at The Home Depot Canada.
There is an annual background check fee of $65 and additional fees may apply for background checks on any of your employees/subcontractors etc. that may interact with our customers. Fees are paid directly to the background check service provider at the beginning of your application, and for any renewals.

When Local Pro matches you to a job request, Local Pro credits will be deducted from your Local Pro account. The job request will be sent directly to you through the Local Pro app and you may contact the customer directly through your mobile device.

If you are busy or away, we recommend you to toggle off “receiving leads’” mode through your Local Pro app so you do not receive job requests during this time, and so that no Local Pro credits are deducted from your account. You can change this setting at any time to ensure you don’t miss out on your job requests.
If you’re on “receiving leads” mode, you can choose to pass on a job request, however Local Pro credits will still be deducted from your account and frequently passing on your leads may result in fewer job requests in the future.

As an independent professional, you manage the job requests that get sent to you through Local Pro. You and the customer are solely responsible for making contractual and payment arrangements with one another.

Matches are based on a number of factors, including a sufficient Local Pro credit balance, skill set, work area and availability. The customer will receive up to 3 Local Pros to choose from, so responding in a timely manner is encouraged.
Job requests that have not been responded to within 72 hours expire, after which the customer’s job request will get re-matched with other Local Pros. We do not recommend letting your leads expire as it may result in fewer job requests in the future.

You should offer the most competitive price possible for the job request, but customers consider many other factors, such as reviews, qualifications, and the amount of detail provided in your public profile on homedepot.ca.

You can select up to two types of services in your profile. For example, if you’re both a professional electrician and a handyperson, you can be matched to job requests in both categories.

Regardless of the number of service types you have selected in your profile, you will have one credit balance from which credits will be deducted. Credits will be deducted based on the service type. Refer to Local Pro Terms of Service for detail. Refer to Local Pro Terms of Service for detail.

Quarterly Rewards

Quarterly Rewards are an exciting new benefit of Pro Xtra which lets Members earn rewards on Qualifying Purchases and Qualifying Paint Purchases, any way they pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, or cheque when Members use their Pro Xtra ID. The more you spend, the more you’ll earn towards your Quarterly Reward. Each quarter, the Quarterly Rewards you earn are automatically posted to your Pro Xtra Online Account in the form of a The Home Depot Gift Card. Members will no longer collect Reward Points on purchases using their Home Depot commercial card.

Quarterly Rewards valued at $10 or more are automatically issued to you four times a year, following the end of the quarter. Quarterly Rewards are issued in the form of electronic The Home Depot gift cards posted in your Pro Xtra Online Account. Quarters are outlined below:

One of the exciting changes of the Pro Xtra program is how your Tier Level is calculated. Your Tier Level is based on Qualifying Purchases you make with your Pro Xtra ID in the last 12-months. That means that your Tier Level will no longer reset each year on your anniversary date, so you won’t lose your Tier Level if you maintain your spend level.

Your Tier Level is based on all your Qualifying Purchases associated with your Pro Xtra ID over the last 12 months - which means the more you spend, the more you’re rewarded! You’ll automatically earn Quarterly Rewards, any way you pay, as follows:

If you make a Purchase on homedepot.ca while you are logged in to your Pro Xtra Online Account, you will earn towards your Quarterly Rewards. If you are not logged in to your account, your purchase will not be tracked and your purchase will not qualify for rewards.

While digital Gift Cards are the default format for issuing you your Quarterly Reward, it is possible to change your preference and request a physical Gift Card instead. Please log in to your Pro Xtra Online Account and set your preference to physical Gift Card instead of digital Gift Card. Once you save your preferences, you will receive a physical Gift Card going forward. You will need to ensure that the mailing address in your Pro Xtra Online Account is accurate in order receive your Quarterly Reward.

A digital Gift Card is just like a physical Gift Card, but in electronic format. You can access your Quarterly Reward in digital Gift Card format on your Pro Xtra Online Account. If you access your Quarterly Reward on your mobile device, you will be able to view the digital Gift Card and scan it directly in store upon checkout. Or, you can print your Quarterly Reward from your computer and bring it in store to scan upon checkout.

Yes. When you shop in store at The Home Depot or online at homedepot.ca, you can earn towards your Quarterly Reward any way you pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, and cheque, when you use your Pro Xtra ID. The Home Depot website does not accept Home Depot eGift cards as a payment type.

Yes, so long as they use your Pro Xtra ID, (which includes The Home Depot commercial card linked to your Pro Xtra Account) when shopping. You can also use the ‘Add a Receipt’ function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current quarter if they forget to scan your Pro Xtra ID.

Quarterly Rewards start at $10. Balances below $10 will not be issued. For balances greater than $10, a Quarterly Reward will be issued in increments of $1, rounded down to the nearest dollar.

Yes. Your Quarterly Reward is posted to your Pro Xtra Online Account as a The Home Depot gift card which allows you to share it digitally, or print and share a physical version with anyone you like. Like a regular gift card, the balance on the gift card will be reduced each time it is used until there is a $0 balance.
Purchase Tracking

Purchase tracking is a Pro Xtra exclusive benefit that allows you to track, sort and export your purchases, any way you pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, or cheque when you use your new Pro Xtra ID. When you sign up to Pro Xtra, you will automatically get access the purchase tracking benefit. Purchases can be tracked starting the day your Pro Xtra account is created.

To use the Purchase Tracking benefit, key in or scan your Pro Xtra ID, every time you make a purchase in-store. To make a purchase online, log in to your Pro Xtra account before you check out. Both in-store and online purchases will automatically be tracked online in your Pro Xtra Online Account.

Pro Xtra Members can track their purchases for up to 2 years from the date of purchase. Only purchases made after signing up to Pro Xtra will be tracked.

Yes. The total amount shown in Purchase Tracking is inclusive of taxes. You can find this amount under “Total Spend” on your purchase tracking page. You can also view your transaction details by clicking on the View Details icon and exporting your Purchase Details Data.

Yes! Existing Pro Xtra Members with a Home Depot commercial card already have the Purchase Tracking benefit. Their purchases are tracked every time they shop with their Home Depot Commercial Card.

60-Day Payment Terms for The Home Depot Commercial Card

Regardless of your billing cycle, effective March 1, 2020, your purchases will be subject to standard 30 day terms.

Members who opt-in to 60 Day Terms before February 1, 2020, will continue to earn 60 Day Terms for any transactions made on their Home Depot commercial card. Transactions made up until February 29, 2020 will be subject to 60 day terms. However, any transactions made on or after March 1, 2020, will be subject to 30 day terms.
Example: If your billing cycle is the 2nd of the month, any transactions made prior to February 1, 2020 will be subject to 60 day terms.
Fuel Savings for The Home Depot Commercial Card
Starting February 1, 2020, the Fuel Savings benefit will no longer be offered.

Starting February 1, 2020, your purchases will no longer count toward your Fuel Savings benefit as the benefit will no longer be offered through the Pro Xtra program.

Nothing. You can continue to redeem your earned Fuel Savings at Petro-Canada. See below if you lose your Fuel Savings Card.

Please contact the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070 to replace your lost card. Starting July 31, 2020, we will no longer be able to replace lost or stolen cards. The value of your Fuel savings will be issued in the form of a Home Depot eGift Card unless you have registered your Fuel Savings Card before July 31, 2020 with the Petro-Points program online.

Reward Points

Effective October 22, 2018, Members will no longer collect Reward Points on qualifying purchases. Instead, Members will earn Quarterly Rewards. You can learn more about Quarterly Rewards and how they work below.

Legacy points are rewards earned prior to October 22, 2018. While you can no longer earn them, you may continue to redeem your points (subject to minimum balance thresholds”) for Home Depot gift cards by sending an email to the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at proxtra@homedepot.com. Please include the name, email address and phone number associated with your account. We will get back to you within 48-72 hours.
